Outlaw Tool Co wants everyone to be able to read about our crown molding tools, shop, and get in touch with us. This statement explains our accessibility goal, what we do to meet it, where the site still falls short, and how to reach us if you hit a barrier.

What accessibility standard do we follow?
We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. Where it is practical we also check against the newer WCAG 2.2 success criteria. These are the guidelines that most laws and court rulings point to, and they cover things like text contrast, keyboard use, image descriptions, and form labels.
We work toward that goal on every page, but no website is perfect and we make changes often. If something is not working for you, we want to hear about it.
What have we done to make this site accessible?
Every page has a skip link at the very top so keyboard and screen reader users can jump past the menu straight to the main content. Pages use real headings, landmarks, and lists so assistive technology can read the layout in a sensible order.
Images carry text descriptions. Form fields have labels that a screen reader can announce. Buttons and links have names that make sense out of context, and the mobile menu tells assistive technology whether it is open or closed. Keyboard focus is visible, and you can reach every link and button with the Tab key.
We test pages with the axe-core automated checker against the WCAG 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2 Level A and AA rule sets, and we also tab through pages by hand, because automated tools only catch part of the problems. We do not use accessibility overlay widgets, because they cover up problems instead of fixing the code underneath.
Is every part of the site accessible?
Not yet. Some content comes from outside providers, and we do not control how those are built. That includes the product listings and cart on the shop page, which are provided by Shopify, the Google reCAPTCHA spam check on our forms, and Google Analytics. We work to fix issues on our own pages and will pass along any problem you report with a third party tool.
The photo gallery opens pictures in a pop-up viewer. If that viewer is hard for you to use, the pictures can still be opened as plain images, and you can call us for any detail you cannot see.
What if you cannot use part of the site?
Call us and we will help you directly. We can answer questions about the Cut-N-Crown jigs, explain which spring angle you need, and take your order over the phone if the online shop does not work for you.
How do you report an accessibility problem?
Tell us which page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what got in the way. If you use assistive technology, the name and version of it helps us reproduce the problem. We will review every report and fix what we can as quickly as we can.
